Sales Assistant Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to): Having a thorough understanding of all products related to the companies, including product categories, product ingredients, feeding requirements, basic manufacturing procedures, and all other relevant knowledge needed to successfully promote and sell the products. Having a thorough understanding of New Zealand environments, raw materials, and supply chains. Having a thorough understanding of all relevant international markets and trends relating to the pet industry. Data entry into relevant systems and servers including Microsoft Business Central as required. Collation of data, reporting, and analysis of sales information as required using Microsoft software programmes. Translation of data, reports, and analysis between English and Simplified Chinese as needed. Participating in communicating with existing and potential clients in a professional and timely manner as required. Participating in generating sales for the companies' product offering. Participating in investigating and communicating the company background and history of potential new clients and assist in gaining approval from the director to formalise relationships with any new clients before proceeding with any orders. Reporting to and communicate with Sales Managers and Directors as needed, which includes written weekly progress reports to be submitted by email every Friday. Communicating with relevant teams to schedule orders, and provide the required materials, documents, and information between parties from order start to end. Reporting to the Sales Managers and/or relevant management staff as needed regarding product information and/or requirements, scheduling, or any other matter as needed. Carrying out all other reasonable tasks instructed by the Sales Managers and Directors. Candidate Requirements: Candidate must have at least one year's work experience in a marketing or sales role. The role is required to transmit data and information to the Chinese parent company, so the candidate should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of Mandarin. Therefore, the candidate must be confident in Chinese reading and writing. Candidate must provide a NZ Police Vetting and/or NZ Criminal Record Check report. Candidate must be clean of any substance and/or alcohol abuse, must pass a pre-employment drug test, and a health examination report may be required.
