Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Marketing Manager to drive our sales and marketing performance.
This role is crucial in developing and implementing plans that boost revenue growth and enhance our market presence.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong commercial acumen, and proven experience in business development, preferably in the food/FMCG industry.
You should be adept at building relationships and managing a small team.
The ability to quickly react to new market opportunities, think strategically, and adapt to change is essential.
A passion for food and business development, combined with hands-on execution and innovative thinking, will set you apart in this role.
Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and manage the sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Sales and Marketing Plan: Develop and implement detailed sales and marketing plans based on customer needs, industry trends, and competitive analysis.
Create and manage marketing and sales campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and traditional channels.
Performance Management: Set and monitor performance targets for the sales and marketing team, critically analyse sales and marketing data, and report on results to assess effectiveness and drive improvements.
Customer Relationship Management: Handle key accounts, review pricing and performance.
Develop and nurture strong relationships with key customers.
Lead Generation: Continually define target customers and identify potential new leads.
Content and Communication: Oversee content creation and distribution, ensuring consistent messaging and a seamless customer experience.
Organisational Skills: Maintain a high level of organisation to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Hands-On Execution: Take ownership of both planning and execution, handling tasks directly to achieve results.
Growth and Innovation: Embrace the challenges of a growing business, continuously seeking ways to expand market presence and improve strategies.
Customer Engagement: Focus on customer retention and engagement, analysing campaign performance to enhance metrics.
Skills and Qualifications: Degree in Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCG.
Proven business development skills with experience in distributor and supermarket relationships.
Strong organisational and key relationship management skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Strategic thinker with a keen eye for identifying new marketing opportunities.
Demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting on sales and marketing campaigns.
Deep understanding of digital platforms.
Ability to effectively analyse and report on the effectiveness of marketing activities.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM systems is a plus.
