About The Role Manage sales and relationship building for our custom software development line of business. Bring in new sales from both new and existing clients, and ensure we are the first to know when companies within our target industries need software to be built.
There will be cross-over with SaaS sales, especially when there is a custom component needed, but your primary focus will be meeting our clients' needs with custom software development.
As the first salesperson beyond the CEO, you will have a lot of freedom to build the role to best bring success.
Your Responsibilities Generate new relationships. Sell our custom software development services. Build and maintain relationships with prospects within our target industries. Become a trusted advisor to customers and prospects. Ensure we're top of mind for software development opportunities to existing and new contacts. Work with the Project Delivery and Tech Leads to shape the work and deliver compelling proposals that we can execute and deliver on. Negotiate with customers to achieve best long term outcomes. Self-management of expenses, mileage, budget, and time-sheeting. Attendance at internal sales meetings. Work with the CEO on a continual basis. Build & maintain relationships with internal staff. Record and monitor the sales pipeline. Improve the sales processes without over-engineering. A strong and continuous focus on business development. Forward planning for business need. Some clients are based overseas, so you will need to be flexible around meeting times. Show Us 2+ years of experience in a similar role or alternative evidence of experience. Experience selling software, either custom or product. Experience with Hubspot or other CRM. Experience running end-to-end sales processes – outreach to closing deals & handover to the implementation team. Ability to naturally build and maintain relationships with potential clients and team members. Ability to thrive in a fluid start-up environment. Strong self-starter work ethic.
