We're seeking a talented Safety Systems Manager to lead our safety initiatives and ensure our operations are top-notch.About Us: The Canterbury Aero Club is a recognised leader in Flight Training in NZ, providing recreational and commercial flight training for over 95 years. The Club also operates the highly successful International Aviation Academy of New Zealand which provides professional flight training to students from New Zealand and worldwide.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage safety management systems (SMS) and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, both in aviation and Workplace Safety and Health.Manage regular safety audits, risk assessments, and safety performance evaluations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and implement effective solutions.Lead safety training programmes and workshops to promote a culture of safety within the organisation.Analyse safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement of safety practices.Qualifications:Experience in a Quality or Safety Management System position, preferably within the aviation sector.Company document management experience.Good analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex safety data.Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.Ideally hold a qualification as an auditor/lead auditor.Why Us?Be part of a company that values innovation and safety above all.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Apply via Seek by 5:00pm Friday 13 September 2024.
