Te Whiwhinga a mahi The opportunityAs a Safety Specialist at Airbus, you will work closely with a large and inclusive team of technical experts focused on success. Reporting to the Manager Safety Operations, the Safety Specialist is responsible to provide advice and support to allocated operational areas within New Zealand to ensure safety programs and the Airbus Integrated Safety Management System (iSMS) is implemented effectively. Reporting to the Manager Safety Operations, the Safety Specialist provides high level guidance to their appointed Client Groups in the areas of Work Health and Safety and Aviation Safety, in accordance and compliance with all processes, systems and tools, to enable and drive safety excellence. This is a multi-site role based in Blenheim with oversight and support provided to personnel at Ohakea & Whenuapai RNZAF bases. The skills and experience suited to this role include : Demonstrated experience in a safety role, including the implementation and monitoring of safety management systems Experience in the implementation, maintenance and assurance of safety management policies, plans and standards in accordance with regulatory requirements, across multiple sites Knowledge of applicable Defence & Civil Aviation legislation / regulations, standards and internal best practices, and experience in the aviation industry Diploma or higher level certification in a Safety / Health discipline Certification in a recognised Investigation methodology and in a recognised Internal Audit methodology (ISO14001, ISO 45001) Qualification (or equivalent experience) in project management and change managementAirbus employees are expected to demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
