We're looking for a Safety, Health and Wellbeing - Construction and Maintenance Lead to join our team here in Aotearoa reporting to our Head of Safety, Health and Wellbeing while also working closely with the Director of Format, Network Development and Property. You'll take accountability for guiding, mentoring, coaching and relationship building of senior and middle management to positively influence the Property & WFM teams with a specific focus on SH&W.
About the Role | Mo te Turanga You will be responsible for:
Participating in the development and delivery of the Construction and Maintenance SH&W improvement strategies while assisting and implementing the elements of the Woolworths Contractor Safety Risk Management SystemWorking with and/or providing guidance directly or indirectly to design teamsSupporting and maintaining a strong governance & assurance program that provides the right insights on the effectiveness of critical and key controls to manage fatality risks and serious injuryProviding and maintaining the components of Woolworths SH&W integrated management system that relate to construction, renewals and maintenance risk profileProviding thought leadership across the Woolworths Group including industry trends, benchmarking and other insights to drive continued improvement in how we manage our risksContributing to Executive and Board level written reportsTo succeed in this role you will need to be the connecting part between Safety, Health and Wellbeing and the Property leadership teams. You will come with strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentations. If you're the sort of individual who strives to always do the right thing for customers, team, our communities, and our business then we ought to connect.
To be successful in this position, you will have at least 10 years work experience within Health and Safety, with at least 6 years + attained in commercial construction either as client or principal contractor role; and ideally have experience with on-site safety support in construction projects to have first-hand knowledge & experience of construction related safety risks.
