Role Overview: Herd-i is a New Zealand AgriTech company bringing the latest in artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to New Zealand's best dairy farmers. Herd-i uses an on-farm camera monitoring system to collect tens of thousands of data points from every cow every day, to provide farmers with intelligent information on the status of herd health and welfare. Our first product provides early detection of lameness, enabling effective treatment to ensure productivity, reproductive performance and improved animal welfare. The business has commenced development of a new automated Body Condition Scoring product.
We're looking for an experienced rural sales professional to drive adoption of this new technology by dairy farmers. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of successfully helping dairy farmers understand the benefits of adopting technology on their farm.
Role: This is a fulltime, salaried position.
Location: Ideally Christchurch based, however willing to accept applications from exceptional candidates based in other areas of New Zealand.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer.
Salary: Base salary, with performance-based incentives.
Personal Attributes: This is a senior role for a senior rural sales professional, that is not only pivotal to ensuring that every Herd-i customer is a "raving fan" but will also be critical in driving the "Farmer First" culture of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Revenue Growth: Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to ensure rate of revenue growth continues to improve. Forecast future revenue. Ensure the sales pipeline is well supplied with future new customers and that conversion rates increase, and conversion timeframes reduce. Industry Engagement: Building and leveraging industry relationships to establish and maintain Herd-i's brand and generate sales leads. Utilise social media and other communications channels to create authentic content to help raise awareness of Herd-i and build your credibility and the credibility of the brand. Lead and participate in activation events with customers and other industry stakeholders. Customer Success: Work collaboratively with the rest of the business to ensure that customers have an outstanding experience in their use and interaction with Herd-i. Proactively identify opportunities to further enhance the use of Herd-i on-farm to ensure customers are maximising the benefits they get. Understand any issues which may result in customer churn and ensure appropriate, timely and effective action is taken to mitigate the risk of losing a customer. Ensure sales processes are effective and that sales process performance is being measured, reported and improved. Ensure Hubspot (CRM) is being well utilised to support both sales performance and customer success. Insights, Analysis and Improvement: Ensure effective capture and utilisation of customer insights across the business to drive sales performance and customer success. Identify opportunities to enhance Herd-i's credibility and maximise the benefits for customers from utilising Herd-i using analytics, reporting and benchmarking. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record of successfully selling technology to dairy farmers. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Previous experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms. A relevant tertiary qualification is ideal. A high degree of computer literacy and proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
