Mo te whai waahi | About the opportunity Due to one of our retail superstars moving into a technical field role, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and charismatic Rural Retail Salesperson to join our Gore team. Working with a close knit, friendly, high performing team, where everyone looks out for each other, teamwork, and the ability to build relationships are key to this role. We are looking for a Retail Salesperson who will proactively approach every customer and deliver a true retail customer experience. You will bring your rural knowledge and retail expertise to the position, if you have experience in rural infrastructure this would be an advantage. You will provide exceptional customer service and advice to our shareholders and customers in-store, across a wide range of rural supplies and products, collaborating closely with your colleagues and suppliers to maintain impeccable retail standards in our fantastic purpose built store. You will be working 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week, however, we are a 6 day per week store and do require you to be flexible across our 6-day rostering - which usually equates to working 1 Saturday per month. Mohou ake | About you We are looking for an individual with rural retail experience, who is genuinely excited about the opportunity to join the Farmlands Gore team. You will also bring: Genuine desire to deliver first-class customer service. Strong rural knowledge and expertise. A dedicated and capable retail sales professional who is passionate about selling while providing excellent customer advice and support. Experience in rural retail would ensure you are setup for success. Self-motivated, show initiative, confident and a very strong team player. An interest and knowledge of farming practices and seasonality. An empathy and understanding of the rural sector. Strong computer skills and able to learn new systems will set you up for success (namely our Point of Sale and D365 Ops) Physical fitness and be comfortable working on your feet all day and lifting and carrying stock.
