We are seeking rural hospital medical specialists to work in both the Emergency Department and Inpatient Ward. You will be part of a small competent and supportive team which provides 24/7 medical cover. Use your varied and broad generalist knowledge and experience to diagnose and treat your patients in ED, follow those patients admitted to the inpatient ward through to discharge, or stabilise and transfer patients to the Secondary/Tertiary Hospitals when required.
Taupo Hospital also provides a rehabilitation service for its local community.

Taupo Hospital has recently been refurbished and upgraded to a modern and contemporary rural hospital.
Applicants must hold or be within 3 months of obtaining their Rural Hospital Medicine qualification and hold or be eligible for Specialist (Vocational) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Base salary range: $170,369 - $250,560 per annum pro-rated to hours worked.
