The Rural Generalist team is flexible, multi-disciplinary and highly skilled –joining us will provide you with a raft of experience within the framework ofour community and rural hospital-based services. The Rural Generalist (RG) Team is ahighly motivated and supportive group of SMOs, largely formed of DRHMNZ andRNZCGP fellows and trainees; FACEMs and FACRRMs. The flexible and multi-disciplinarynature of the Generalist model means we can offer unique career developmentopportunities tailored to individual clinicians. The RG Team covers primary care,urgent care, emergency medicine, general medicine, paediatrics, orthopaedics,and obstetrics/gynaecology. The West Coast also has in-house specialists(psychiatry, anaesthetics, general surgery + O&G) and 'TransAlpine'partnerships with multiple specialities who support local care and tertiarytransfers. Vocational registration (e.g. FDRHMNZ or FRNZCGP).
