ASB's Rural Corporate team is a team of experienced rural bankers who manage the portfolio of ASB Rural's largest rural customers ranging from corporate farming operations to large scale family businesses. We're experts in understanding the banking requirements for farming businesses which have significant complexity and risk to deliver great banking outcomes for both our customers and the bank.
As a Rural Corporate Manager, your ability to build strong relationships and your understanding of both the Rural and Commercial/Corporate sectors will help you identify and drive growth of large and complex rural businesses.
You will be responsible for the ongoing management of a complex Rural Corporate set of customers within a current portfolio; assisting these businesses to meet their financial objectives through aligning capital structure and strategy, and promotion of needs-based solutions through ASB products and services suited to their ongoing individual needs. You will establish strong working relationships with your customers; providing outstanding customer service to a portfolio of high net worth individuals and key industry leaders.
Key to this role is understanding the importance of working alongside customers to build stronger rural businesses that are resilient to the demands facing the sector and strengthen New Zealand's economic growth.
The nature of customers you work with means that you will be able to engage and build strong relationships with both existing and potential customers as well as internal ASB teams and one team partners.
Experience in banking is essential due to both the complexity of deals and nature of customers you will work with. Your personal credibility, outstanding people skills and innovative approach will enable you to grow successful relationships with your customers as well as developing and leveraging your strong network within the sector.
