Runtime Engineer

The role:

Design, build and maintain a runtime capable of executing and optimally scheduling custom ML kernels in a heterogeneous environment.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain the Gensyn runtime environment.
Work closely with the Compiler and Distributed Training teams to ensure reproducibility.
Communicate design decisions and specifications to the broader Gensyn team.

Competencies:
Must have

Experience building an ML runtime.
Experience building and profiling highly-parallel, low-level systems, including a deep knowledge of memory management techniques.
Experience with infrastructure / distributed systems.

Should have

Experience working with system kernels and drivers.
Experience in a venture backed start-up environment.
Experience working with ML accelerators such as GPUs.

Nice to have

Technical machine learning experience.
Experience with MLIR.
Experience building and/or profiling ML kernels.
