This capital programme aims to achieve in 15 years what traditionally could take decades.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Route Security Lead to join the Northland Corridor programme team. This senior leadership role is critical to securing the land and statutory approvals necessary for the phased development of the corridor.You will be responsible for ensuring that land acquisition, route protection, resource consents, and other required statutory approvals align with the programme's ambitious schedule. This will enable the financial close of the first section (Warkworth to Te Hana) by August 2026 and subsequent sections in the following years. You will provide strategic oversight, ensuring that all inputs to any wider enabling legislation are meticulously managed, and that programme risks are effectively mitigated.Key Responsibilities:Leadership in Land Acquisition and Statutory Approvals: Lead the development and execution of the property and consenting strategy across all phases of the Northland Corridor Programme.Programme Integration: Work closely with the programme leadership team to ensure seamless integration of the property and consent strategy with broader programme goals.Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage extensively with other programme leaders and external partners to foster high-performance teamwork.Risk Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate risks related to land and consent.Strategic Advice and Direction: Provide expert guidance on property and statutory approval matters.Professional Services Management: Oversee the procurement and management of professional services contractors and consultants.Required Qualifications and Experience:Minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure land development.Demonstrated ability to present complex ideas in a clear manner.In-depth understanding of property and statutory approval principles.Extensive experience in leading large-scale professional service contracts.Strong knowledge of the Public Works Act 1981 (PWA) framework.Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex environments.Innovative mindset with proven ability to challenge the status quo.Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in property or a related discipline is essential.
