The Roche Learning Village Partnership (RLVP) / Roche Pebbles Childcare Centre currently have a vacancy for a full-time/permanent Room Leader to work approximately 38 hours per week, between the hours of 8.00am - 6.00pm.
Applicants must hold at least an NVQ 3 or equivalent, with proven experience in the Early Years sector, nursery setting, and be able to lead a team, as acting as Deputy Supervisor will be required from September 2014 to cover maternity leave.
Applicants must be able to meet the needs of the individual child through the Early Years Foundation Stage, including understanding the role of being room leader, key person, and how to plan accordingly for each child, whilst evidencing their development phases through their 'Learning Stories'.
You must be able to work well within a team, yet be able to use your initiative when required, making good use of time management. Excellent communication skills are essential, as close working relationships between the setting, home, and with other professionals are of paramount importance.
All applicants must hold at least a grade 'C' in English and Maths and have up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, and knowledge of the Ofsted standards and safeguarding procedures. SENCO trained would be desirable but not essential.
Roche Pebbles is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm for 50 weeks of the year, for children aged from 3 months to 5 years (and up to 11 years during after-school and holiday clubs, which closes at 5.30pm). 105 children are currently on role.
