Based at our office in Te Kuiti, this role is responsible for the provision of operational support, advice, and guidance to internal and external customers, ensuring that WDC provides an effective and efficient roading activity to the public and meets service demands and community needs. Your key duties and responsibilities will be: Developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure expectations are managed effectively and that key stakeholders and customers receive high-quality responses to feedback or correspondence in a timely manner. Contract management - operational and capital works, site inspections and audits, preparation and presentation of contract progress and technical reports. Assessment of Corridor Access Requests (CAR), planning assessments (e.g. for new subdivisions), assessment of permits and Licenses to Occupy (LTOs), traffic Management Co-ordination - review of traffic management plans and onsite audits, Speed Management Plans. Safety management - analysing data, implementing safety improvements and road safety education. Contributing to the development of relevant Roading / Transport Policies and Strategies. Asset Management Plan and Infrastructure Strategy development and implementation. Maintenance Intervention Strategy development and implementation. Management of Road Assessment and Maintenance Management (RAMM) software and other databases. Assisting Waka Kotahi (NZ Transport Agency) programme development, programme and project delivery and financial reporting. Responding to customer Service Requests. Supporting the Roading Manager in the management of roading capital and operational budgets. To be successful in the role you'll have: Tertiary qualification in relevant Civil Engineering discipline and/or Minimum 3 years roading maintenance, roading network or asset management related experience in either a local authority, contractor, or consultant organisation at an intermediate level or above.
