About the Role
Our Infrastructure and Property Team look after our districts roading network which is crossed by four state highways, various arterial and collector roads and over 900 local roads and streets connecting our towns. This rewarding and varied role will see you promoting safe road use and leading travel behaviour change in our communities.
So, what could you find yourself doing day to day?
Managing road safety education projects
Promoting safe road use
Educating communities
Assisting the School Road Safety Coordinator in managing safe travel to schools
Investigating and responding to issues raised in relation to road safety within the district
About You
Being an excellent communicator you are someone who can relate well to a wide range of people, able to work independently you will also be a strong team player and enjoy working alongside others to make Selwyn roads safer. Above all, you will be passionate about road safety and have knowledge on the legislation and standards associated with this.
At least 3 years' relevant work experience
A genuine interest in road safety and educating our communities
The ability to analyse and review data
