Every day is different, and our nurses enjoy the variety, the people they interact with, and the challenge of giving each patient the best customer experience, whilst ensuring that everything runs to schedule.About the Team/LocationWairau Hospital Day Stay Unit is part of the perioperative department which consists of 5 Operating Theatres with a Recovery Room, a Sterile Services department, and the Day Stay Unit.Shifts will be variable between 07:00 and 20:30 Monday to Friday.About YouCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.You must be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and will ideally have at least two years post-registration nursing experience in either preadmissions, theatre and/or a surgical setting.You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellnesses.'
