We're looking for a passionate and experienced Risk, Quality and Safety Lead to join our dynamic team and help us shape the future of healthcare in New Zealand.
About the Role | Mo te Turanga As the Risk, Quality and Safety Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing and leading quality processes and improvement initiatives across Phoenix Healthcare.
You'll work closely with both clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure consistency in risk management, health & safety, and legislative compliance.
You'll also help embed an 'accreditation ready' approach throughout our organisation, providing effective leadership and maintaining high-quality, evidence-based practices.
Key areas of accountability include quality improvement, risk management, health & safety oversight, and supporting our organisational growth through continuous development initiatives.
Lead and enhance risk, quality, and safety management across the Phoenix Healthcare Group.
Ensure policies, procedures, and accreditation processes align with sector and legislative standards.
Develop quality improvement initiatives, lead accreditation requirements, and provide relevant training to staff.
Foster effective communication and collaboration across clinical and non-clinical teams.
Develop and monitor quality and safety plans, metrics, and audit recommendations.
Promote a positive quality improvement culture across all activities.
Drive consumer engagement and continuous quality improvement.
A clinical background is highly beneficial, particularly if you have prior knowledge of the healthcare sector that will allow you to hit the ground running.
Experience in quality improvement, clinical governance, risk management, and audit processes.
Strong understanding of the NZ healthcare landscape and related standards.
Proven ability in change management and supporting health system improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in training and motivating teams.
Commitment to including the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi within all aspects of the role.
Ability to work collaboratively, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Full NZ driver's license.
MUST have Legal right to work in New Zealand (No overseas applicants can be accepted at this time).
Ability to pass a Police vet and two reference checks.
