This is us. Where making an impact matters. As our Risk Control Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating, testing, and enhancing the controls that safeguard our operations. This role sits in the Customer Line One Risk Team and involves partnering with key business areas across the organisation to develop and execute control test plans, and provide guidance and support where uplift is required, ensuring that our control environment effectively manages risk.
Key Responsibilities include: Partner with business areas, including Customer Retail, Customer Business, Enterprise Operations, and Transformation, to identify, assess and test existing controls.Provide insights on whether controls are managing risks appropriately and provide pragmatic solution-focused guidance to strengthen the control environment where opportunities are identified.Review policies and ensure alignment with control testing outcomes.Manage the prioritisation and organisation of control testing, ensuring that our quarterly and annual KPIs for testing are met.Provide feedback and recommendations to improve the control environment.This is us. Experience in banking or financial services is essential.Practical experience in conducting control testing, or significant exposure to control testing environments and methodologies.Strong understanding of the business implications of control test outcomes, including the impact of a pass or fail.Proven relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage with Heads of Departments and General Managers.Exceptional prioritisation and organisational skills to manage a high volume of control testing.Effective communication and a collaborative partnership approach is essential.You do not need to tick every box here to be considered!
