This role is key to ensuring Risk & Control procedures are well integrated into the overall risk management framework, deadlines are met, and that testing & monitoring mechanisms are well established.This role will also perform current AML transaction monitoring tasks until they are handed over to appropriate '1st line' business owners, as well as provide support to the Privacy Officer managing potential incidents & maintaining the Privacy register.Just some of the things you're responsible for:Support the Operational Risk Manager in performing risk assessments and identifying associated controlsPerform testing on key controls to identify effectiveness and inform associated risk ratingCoordinate control testing schedule and ensure tasks are completed on timeAnalyse results and identify patterns, trends, repeat failings or increasing risk exposureCollate risk data and identify trends & patternsComplete risk reporting for regular Committee reportingSupport the daily AML monitoring and reporting activity including assurance testing (for an interim period)Support maintaining the Risk & Control LibraryYou'll need to have:5+ years experience in financial services or similar industryTertiary level education (Diploma or Degree)An understanding of and ability to apply regulatory parameters into a business (ideally this includes CCCFA, Privacy and Anti-Money Laundering & Countering Financing of Terrorism rules and regulations)Any experience in audit or testing work is a bonusWhat you'll receive in return:We're an iconic New Zealand business that is on a mission to be New Zealand's favourite finance company, and we're proudly based in Dunedin.We share our success with our team - our incentive schemes are based on both individual and business outcomes.A dynamic and collaborative culture with a central and modern office space and a team who enjoy working together and who are proud to be MTF'ers.Plenty of development opportunities, coaching and support.Competitive remuneration package which includes fully funded medical insurance, performance incentives, and flexible leave options and benefits.Candidates should apply online via Seek with an updated CV and cover letter.Candidates must possess a New Zealand Driver Licence and the legal right to full-time work in New Zealand.
