Key responsibilities include:Ensuring the team's operational, business and conduct risks are managed effectively.Developing, implementing and monitoring risk and control frameworks, key risk metrics, and risk policies.Advising the business on the financial reporting processes and controls.Leading control assurance programs.Providing insightful risk reporting to executives and governance committees.The ideal candidateExperience of 4-6 years in an established NZ Accounting practice at a supervisory/reviewer levelSolid working experience of internal audits and anti-money launderingStrong knowledge of fraud risk and investigationsStakeholder management and ability to communicate directly with clientsExperience in working with large scale and commercial businessesExcellent leadership and Project management skills, with the ability to mentor, coach and motivate team members.Sector coverage in financial services (banks, insurance, funds) would be advantageous but not complusoryPast expeience working in a time sheeting environment (CA or law firm)Culture & EnvironmentWith a broad client portfolio you'll be exposed to risk advisory work and direct client contact from day one.You will have the opportunity to utilize new technology to deliver cutting edge business advisory to your clients.The Partners and Directors believe in an open door policy allows for the best working environment and encourage their staff to create and maintain full client contact and interaction.Next stepsThis is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the most trusted, respected and established professional services firm within the NZ landscape.We would be keen to hear from experienced accounting professionals, either those who are presently in an established CA firm, or are looking to make the shift from industry to practice.
