Risk Advisor – Whangarei (1.0 Fte)

We're not just talking about living in one of New Zealand's most beautiful – and affordable – locations, but being a part of delivering healthcare that is unique to our region.Working within our Patient Safety, Quality Improvement & Risk Directorate (PQI&RD); we are seeking an experienced Risk Advisor to support the PQI&RD team in supporting services and wider teams across the organisation identify and mitigate risk, utilising the national risk framework.This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week between Monday to Friday.Responsibilities include:Supporting teams to clearly document risks, risk assessments / analysis & mitigation and ongoing monitoring.Developing risk reports and presentations to key stakeholders including governance groupsSupport the training of staff in risk management and how to incorporate this into decision makingKey requirements:3+ years' experience in risk management or related disciplines. This may be replaced with suitable experience in healthcare.Experience with complex problem solvingFacilitation, coaching and mentoring skillsExperience in report writingExperience with risk information systems, or similar information technology skillsWhilst not essential, experience in managing or working in the health sector would be desirable.A career with Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau will see you action meaningful change in the region we love, and in your professional development – all whilst enjoying everything the stunning North has to offer.
