Social media storytelling skills will also be an advantage, to help translate research into engaging content.This position is responsible for ensuring that critical administrative functions related to the smooth running of the member's Parliamentary life (such as diary management and travel) are actively managed. In addition, you will also be responsible for providing the member with research and briefings on policy issues, especially environmental issues.Based in the Parliamentary precinct in Wellington, working 40 hours per week, you'll be working to support the very machinery of Aotearoa New Zealand's democracy.To kete | What you will bring to the role:We are looking for someone who has a passion for Parliament and has previous experience in executive office administration and expertise in research. If you do not have experience in this area, but you can quickly develop the rest of the skills required, we can provide you with the support, mentorship and training you need to succeed in this role. A background or understanding in environmental policy areas would be a bonus. You will be known for your strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to quickly come up to speed. All employees who work for MPs are employed on an 'events based' agreement, with your employment linked to your MP.
