Modern working environment with supportive management structure Our client Tuwharetoa ki Kawerau Hauora are looking for a Rheumatic Fever Clinician to join their team.
Established in 1995, our client provides quality health, social and education services for all who reside within the rohe of Tuwharetoa Ki Kawerau and Eastern Bay of Plenty.
He aha te tunga | About the role Working alongside our Te Whare Haumau Clinic nursing team, and providing clinical oversight, the Rheumatic Fever Clinical Lead (RFCL) supports the implementation of the rheumatic fever prevention programme to reduce the incidence of rheumatic fever in children aged 5-14 years in the Eastern Bay area.
This is a part time role, and it is envisaged the work will be performed over two - three days per week.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Oversight and leadership of the rheumatic fever clinical programme Training and orientation to staff, programme coordination and delivery Oversee Rheumatic Fever testing and Cellulitis testing in schools Engagement and liaison with community health providers, funders, and external stakeholders Complete reporting requirements Participate in compliance audits Nga pukenga me whai | The ideal candidate requirements: Registered Nurse with current practicing certificate Current First Aid Certificate Previous nursing experience within a community setting Experience leading a team Understanding of the Rheumatic Fever programme, its aims and the disease Knowledge of tikanga/kawa as a minimum along with the ability to successfully work within a Maori organisations Clean full NZ Drivers Licence Have a passion for working with the Kawerau community and surrounding areas Strong relationship and network management, able to develop working relationships with whanau, internal and external stakeholders Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Working knowledge of Medtech Excellent computer literacy skills, with proficiency in all Microsoft Office functions Excellent organisational and time management skills High attention to detail A commitment to safe work practices Empathy, showing respect for clients and their whanau Knowledge and awareness of tikanga Maori culture and history, and an understanding of Te Reo Maori is required You will be professional, trustworthy, confidential, self-motivated and remain calm in times of stress.
Being flexible and adaptable is key to being successful in this role, as duties will vary from day to day.
