Databricks is looking to hire a Revenue Strategy & Operations Manager reporting to the Sr. Manager, OTC Strategy & Operations. As a key contributor driving commercialization and revenue transformation at scale, you will be an effective cross-functional collaborator and work across various teams which include Revenue, Commercialization, Revenue Operations, Legal, Revenue Assurance, Product, and SEC Reporting. You will be a primary adviser on the revenue impacts of new product launches, with a passion for designing process improvements to support operational efficiencies and maintain timely and accurate revenue financial reporting. This role requires a highly energetic, collaborative, and cross-functional individual who is a problem solver and strategic thinker.
The impact you will have: Work closely with Commercialization and Product teams to understand new products and their impacts on revenue recognition policy and SOX controlsThink creatively to achieve business goals for new product launches while meeting revenue recognition standardsResearch ASC 606 and advise on proper accounting treatment for new product launches and go-to-market changesGather requirements, perform User Acceptance Testing, create enablement materials, and support the implementation of NPI projects and other revenue-impacting initiativesBecome a trusted adviser to Revenue, Revenue Assurance, and Revenue Operations teams to understand their risk areas, pain points, and systems to launch new products with minimal impact on existing processesDesign and implement improved processes that alleviate current state pain points and gapsSummarize current process pain points and potential improvements and present to managementHelp inform requirements, assess potential risks, and perform User Acceptance Testing for a new billing/rating systemWhat we look for: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fieldUS GAAP and ASC 606 technical accounting experience with a focus on software and SaaS complexities6+ years of accounting experience in revenuePublic accounting backgroundProven track record of identifying and supporting process/operational improvementsExperience leading projects cross-functionallyExperience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to embrace and successfully drive/implement changeProcess optimization focused; vision with the ability to apply practical solutions and navigate through ambiguityExperience with SQL and data analysis a plusPay Range Transparency Zone 1 Pay Range: $122,100 — $216,000 USD
Zone 2 Pay Range: $109,900 — $194,400 USD
Zone 3 Pay Range: $103,800 — $183,600 USD
