Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau offers financial support for midwives returning to practice and also practical support such as dedicated midwifery clinical coaching across our maternity settings.

We welcome expressions of interest from midwives who are interested in:

A permanent position Re-establishing their career at 0.6FTE and above, in either our Middlemore Hospital Birthing and Assessment Unit or Pukekohe Primary Birthing Unit. Counties Manukau Health has the highest birthing population of any DHB in New Zealand with 7,720 women giving birth in the region during 2019 (inclusive of private birth units and home births), so there is a wide variety of experience to be gained.
