The Water Unit works with the activity managers of Council to maintain the reticulation network, including the water, wastewater and stormwater treatment plants. It also undertakes a number of projects as part of the annual 3 Waters renewal programmes and capital projects for the Waimakariri District Council.
As Reticulation Contracts Team Leader in the Water Unit, you will:
Provide direction and coaching/mentoring to your team Provide efficient and effective delivery of works and services contracted to the Water Unit Lead by example through the delivery of a customer focused service Establish and grow solid working relationships with Engineers, Suppliers, Contractors and Customers Work closely and in collaboration with the Reticulation Maintenance Team Leader to ensure the work programmes established by the Water Unit are achieved Oversee work-site safety and review audits, with a continuous improvement focus To be successful in this position you will:
Have leadership experience and a minimum of 5 years experience working in the 3 Waters industry Preferably hold a Level 5 NZQA Reticulation Supervisor Qualification (or equivalent) Be solutions focused when collaborating with servicepeople, Team Leaders, Manager and external stakeholders Be a highly motivated and organised team player Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with conflicting interests We offer a supportive work environment, committed to supporting our employees to succeed in their role.
