Reticulation Contracts Team Leader

The Water Unit works with the activity managers of Council to maintain the reticulation network, including the water, wastewater and stormwater treatment plants. It also undertakes a number of projects as part of the annual 3 Waters renewal programmes and capital projects for the Waimakariri District Council.
As Reticulation Contracts Team Leader in the Water Unit, you will:
Provide direction and coaching/mentoring to your teamProvide efficient and effective delivery of works and services contracted to the Water UnitLead by example through the delivery of a customer-focused serviceEstablish and grow solid working relationships with Engineers, Suppliers, Contractors and CustomersWork closely and in collaboration with the Reticulation Maintenance Team Leader to ensure the work programmes established by the Water Unit are achievedOversee work-site safety and review audits, with a continuous improvement focusTo be successful in this position you will:
Have leadership experience and a minimum of 5 years experience working in the 3 Waters industryPreferably hold a Level 5 NZQA Reticulation Supervisor Qualification (or equivalent)Be solutions-focused when collaborating with servicepeople, Team Leaders, Manager and external stakeholdersBe a highly motivated and organised team playerHave excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with conflicting interestsIf you are looking to progress your career in the Water Reticulation space, and join a team who are truly committed to providing the best service to their community, we would love to hear from you!
