We are seeking for TWO Retail Store Managers at SHREE GANESHAY ENTERPRISE LIMITED for our two independent stores, Trading as Patel Foodmarket & The Fruit, Veggie and Grocery Store, located at Whangarei, New Zealand. Our Retail Store Managers should be able to motivate personnel to perform according to their maximum capacity. This is a great opportunity to lead a dynamic, friendly retail team where excellence, success, and people are valued and rewarded. We are busy running stores where every day would be different to manage as Retail Store Managers.

This is full-time, permanent employment with a minimum of 30 hours a week and an hourly rate of NZ$31-32/hour.

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Developing & implementing effective marketing strategies to ensure business profitability.
Organising all store operations and allocating responsibilities to personnel. Prepare and roll out weekly rosters for the staff members.
Supervising and guiding staff towards maximum performance.
Recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and motivating employees, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, and organising/providing training when required.
Preparing and controlling the store budget for minimum expenditure and efficiency.
Setting pricing of the products in line to make optimum business profitability.
Ensuring administrative and audit processes are followed.
Monitoring and maintaining stock levels and coordinating with the buying department to ensure that they are up to date, especially during the festive season.
Maintaining records of financial transactions & ensuring there are no discrepancies between stock sold and cash received.
Making key decisions about stock control, product mix and pricing, including implementing a stock control system with discounting and clearance when required.
Designing promotional activities and coordinating with the digital marketing team to create advertisements and publish them on various digital platforms.
Coordinating with store assistants to ensure they accurately display promotional products and their pricing.
Addressing complaints from in-store and online customers to maintain the store's reputation and offer them the best solution possible.
Offering special offers and other facilities such as on-time delivery to the B2B Customers.
Ensuring deliveries are dispatched accurately and within the given timeframe for all online customers.
Encouraging customers to share their feedback on our digital platform, which helps us to improve.
Analysing sales revenue and making forecasts.
Ensuring the store fulfills all legal health and safety guidelines.
Inspecting the areas in the store and resolving any issues that might arise.

Our ideal candidates will have:
Minimum Diploma required to work for the role of Retail Manager.
However, 2-3 years of relevant work experience can substitute the qualification.
Basic communication and computer skills.
Strong interpersonal abilities with organisational and leadership skills.
Possess a passion for the retail industry and a willingness to make a difference daily.
Possess a high level of business acumen and ability to work independently.
Must be a non-smoker.
Must not have any criminal convictions.
Must hold a class I NZ driving license or equivalent overseas driving license.
Great team player with team bonding skills.
Available to work on weekends and public holidays.
Able to start early and finish late shifts when required.
