Our client, Lake Taupo Hospice, is a registered charity providing free home-based end-of-life care services to people with terminal illnesses. Their dedicated team of employees spans various roles, including clinical, finance, family and bereavement support, education, community relations, and retail. As professionals, they contribute their expertise to providing compassionate comprehensive care, enabling patients to stay at home. Their vision is to bring the most unique care experience in the world to our community.
Lake Taupo Hospice employs 32 staff (full and part-time) and relies on a pool of approximately 250 volunteers to support their care services, retail outlets, and fundraisers. Their care services include specialist palliative care nursing, family and bereavement support, personal care, loan equipment, education, and patient programmes.
70% of Lake Taupo Hospice funding is raised from their two retail outlets - Taupo and Turangi Hospice Shops. Both are highly regarded as destination shops.

Proven experience in retail management, ideally in a charity retail environment.
Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and support both volunteers and staff.
