About the Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join the ARG as a Retail Operations Manager located in Auckland. ARG incorporates The Bottle-O, Liquor Centre, Merchants Liquor and Liquor Spot liquor retail marketing brands. The Retail Operations Manager will lead the ARG retail operations field team and support office team, aligning with the merchandise & marketing team, as well as ARG's ~370 retailer members, to develop an industry leading retail program and support model, assisting to drive the growth of the ARG network's success within New Zealand. You will foster strong relationships with key trade and non-trade suppliers, developing retail initiatives and executing agreed strategies. Driving retail technology solutions and developments, you will contribute to positioning the ARG for future omni channel success.
In this Role Develop and execute growth plans to establish a comprehensive national coverage of retail stores across all of ARG's brandsDevelop strategies to enhance retail execution in store and engage our retail membersDrive a high performing culture within the ARG field team and ensure our Retail Business Managers are supported as they develop their retailers' businessesEngage with retail committees and the broader membership, to build rapport across the ARG business, with the objective of strengthening the partnership with the ARG retail network.Oversee the completion of the roll-out of ARG Loyalty and e-Comm Programs and similar initiativesManagement of the Store Development and Refresh Budgets and deliver on other fiscal targetsYou're Likely a Match If 5+ years' experience in a similar rolePrevious field team management experiencePrevious project management experience influencing internal and external partiesLead and influence at senior levelsStrong selling, influencing and negotiation skillsExceptional communication skills, including presentations to groupsStrong commercial acumenIntermediate MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) Life at Metcash Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
