Job Description Our Op Shop teams do fantastic work in the community selling affordable pre-loved goods, which helps to fund our essential, lifesaving services and community initiatives.
They have created friendly, supportive community hubs, offering much-needed local services and helping New Zealand to be more environmentally sustainable - more recycling means less landfill!
We welcome individuals with retail or customer service experience, or those looking for an opportunity to learn these skills.
What's involved?
There's plenty of variety in this role, including:
serving customers
sorting donated goods
tidying the store
Qualifications Ko wai koe - About you:
We are seeking people who can spare 4 hours a week (one half-day shift), ideally for at least 6 - 12 months .
We're looking for caring individuals keen to give back to their community. Retail experience is great but not essential. If you're enthusiastic and reliable, we can teach you the skills you need.
Additional Information The recruitment process will involve:
an interview with the store manager
a criminal record check
Optional: If your role involves driving (e.g. donation pick-ups), we will check that you have a current, full NZ Driver License
