Job Description Are you passionate about supporting your community? We're looking for enthusiastic, community-minded volunteers to help launch and grow our soon-to-open Napier Op Shop!
Our Op Shops play a vital role in the community by providing affordable, quality pre-loved items. Every sale contributes to funding essential, lifesaving services and impactful community programs. Together, our teams create welcoming, supportive hubs that help New Zealand reduce waste through recycling, keeping items out of landfills and promoting sustainability.
Whether you bring retail or customer service experience or are eager to learn, we'd love to welcome you on board. Join us in making a positive impact – for both the community and the environment!
What's involved?
There's plenty of variety in this role, you could be doing anything from:
serving customers
sorting donated goods
tidying the store
Qualifications Ko wai koe - About you:
We are seeking people who can spare 4 hours a week (one half-day shift), ideally for at least 6 - 12 months .
We're looking for caring individuals keen to give back to their community. Retail experience is great but not essential. If you're keen to learn, enthusiastic and reliable, then we can teach you the skills you need.
Additional Information The recruitment process will involve:
an interview with the store manager
a criminal record check
Optional: If your role is to involve driving (e.g. donation pick ups) we will also check that you have a current, full NZ Driver License
