New World Ohakune Retail Assistant – Full Time Exciting, fast paced environment, an opportunity to start your career in the retail industry. ABOUT THE ROLE: Assisting in all areas of our busy store, no two days are ever the same. You will be responsible for ensuring the store is presented to a high standard and for working with our team to create a positive work environment while ensuring our customers are well looked after. The Retail Assistant works where required mainly across the Checkouts and Grocery departments, following the instruction of the Duty Manager and Checkout Manager. Tasks include supervising at checkouts, serving customers at checkouts, cleaning, stocking, and merchandising shelves. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL: Work well with others Have a good attitude Want to deliver a good experience to our customers Adhere to the store's principles and values Be physically fit and able to lift cartons of stock regularly Have excellent communication skills At New World Ohakune, you will receive training on the job and support for those who wish to further their career in the retail environment. HOURS: Tuesday 12.30pm to 8pm Wednesday 12.30pm to 8pm Thursday 12.30pm to 8pm Friday 12.00am to 8.30pm Saturday 12.00am to 8.30pm Applications close once a suitable candidate has been found.
