Our Restoring Landscapes work is targeting change on a large scale, accelerating the planting of natives, managing conservation threats and supporting local leadership.In this role, you will oversee our efforts to support New Zealand in implementing large-scale land use transitions that benefit our environment and communities. By managing a team and exploring innovative approaches to scale native revegetation projects, you will play a key role in assisting us to meet The Nature Conservancy's global 2030 goals and shaping the future of conservation in Aotearoa New Zealand.You will have the opportunity to establish strategic partnerships with various organizations, negotiate complex agreements, and develop and implement conservation strategies that restore and protect natural systems. Your work will contribute to our global conservation goals and initiatives, making a lasting impact on the environment and society.WHAT YOU'LL BRINGBA/BS degree and at least 7 years' experience in conservation management, sustainability, agribusiness or related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience managing complex or multiple projects, including managing finances and coordinating the work of other professionals and partnersDemonstrated ability to build and maintain high impact internal and external relationships within organisations and sectorsSupervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performanceExperience in partnership development with non-profit partners, iwi, community groups and/or government agenciesCommunicating clearly via written, spoken, and graphical means in EnglishMust have current eligibility to work in New Zealand.If you are an experienced conservation leader with a passion for sustainability and innovation, we invite you to apply.
