Job Overview:
As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that every guest enjoys a first-class dining experience. You will manage and motivate the team, maintain high standards of food and service, and ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including front-of-house, reservations, and customer service.
Lead, train, and motivate the restaurant team to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service.
Oversee stock control, inventory management, and ordering processes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws.
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and effectively.
Implement and monitor performance standards for staff, providing regular feedback and support.
Manage budgets, financial records, and staff rotas to ensure efficient cost control.
Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract and retain customers.
Maintain the restaurant's AA Rosette standard and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations with poise.
Strong understanding of restaurant management software, point of sale (POS) systems, and inventory management.
Knowledge of AA Rosette standards is highly desirable.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
