We are looking for a Restaurant Manager for our restaurant based in Christchurch who will be responsible for the following duties:

Managing the restaurant operations in an efficient way.

Recruitment, induction, and training/development of employees in line with the company standards and requirements - you will lead by example!

Promote and encourage a high level of customer service amongst employees, ensuring customers are welcomed and made comfortable at all times!

Creating and managing staff schedules.

Managing stock ordering weekly in coordination with the kitchen team.

Checking in deliveries, order matching, and daily banking.

Preparing required paperwork in relation to stock and employee timesheets.

Managing cash balances and minimizing wastage.

Performing inventory management and stock control including weekly stock takes.

Analyzing the Weekly Sales & Inventory Report to improve the business along with the company owners.

Directing and undertaking housekeeping activities such as maintaining restaurant cleanliness and presentation.

Providing a safe work environment for employees and customers.

Handling unresolved and/or escalated customer complaints.

Delivering a high standard of service when dealing with inquiries and catering to customer needs.

Purchasing and pricing goods.

Budgeting and financial transactions.

Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.

Getting ready and setting up for special functions.

Maintaining records of stock levels.

Ensuring health regulations are being complied with.

Assisting in taking orders when required.

Taking feedback from customers.

Supporting the owners to recruit new staff.

Training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $29 to $34 per hour.

Other requirements for the role:

One year of relevant work experience.

A Duty Manager certificate is highly preferable.

Relevant qualification is highly preferable.

Knowledge of Indian food is strongly preferable.

Available to work late evening shifts.

Available to work on weekends.

Leadership skills.

Team worker and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail.

Multi-tasker.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.00 – $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift.

8 hour shift.

Monday to Friday.

Shift work.

Weekend availability.
