The team behind The Stoaker Room, Cromwell & Wanaka and home of Wild Earth Wines, are looking for new team members for their popular restaurants in Central Otago.The Stoaker Room will be serving up all our favourite dishes from this one-of-a-kind cooking vessel – converted French Oak Pinot Noir barrel cookers which steam, bake, grill and smoke local foods to create a mouth-watering flavour explosion.
We are looking for experienced, creative, well-rounded, passionate staff who would relish the challenge of utilising their skills in this unique and dynamic environment.Come and learn the art of "Barrel Cuisine".Each position is full time with a guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week.
More hours are available during our busy catering season of October to April to a maximum of 50 hours per week.Rates of pay will be between $25.00-$30.00 per hour depending on level of experience and the position offered.Our restaurant is open 7 days a week and your standard hours will be rostered between the following hours:Cromwell – Monday-Sunday from 10am – 10pmWanaka – Monday-Sunday from 8.30am – 10pm4 x Duty Managers assists the Operations Manager & Restaurant ManagerThe role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:Organize and coordinate daily restaurant operations.Maintain high levels of customer service.Develop and direct staff to follow procedures.Supervise staff to ensure job tasks are being completed in a timely manner.Enforce adherence to Liquor License regulations and Health & Safety.Schedule Rostering needs of the business – Break times and finish times.Monitor the purchasing and inventory control in Loaded Reports – In conjunction with the Restaurant Operations Manager.Review and prepare reports for Senior Management as required.Responsible for the end of day cash up of the Daily Takings.Responsible to secure the restaurant at the end of the day and ensure the alarm has been set and everything is shut down correctly.Full Training will be given on this unique style of cooking.

You must be willing to work both in the busy restaurant kitchen and at off-site catering events in our region.
