About the role
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Restaurant & Bar operations are run efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
Manage the daily operation and help deliver the best guest experience
Lead and mentor the Restaurant team and create a collaborative culture based on mutual respect and trust
Review, implement and maintain operational standards, ensuring the efficient delivery of the highest standards of service
Handle any guest queries that come through including bookings, special requests, etc.
Responsible for financial management including budgeting, ordering, and stock take with accuracy and efficiency
Manage the team, including payroll, rosters, daily briefings, onboarding, recruitment, and performance reviews
Liaise with other departments in the hotel daily to ensure smooth operations
Create a refined and enticing dining offering that can be delivered efficiently
About you
This is a key position and the successful candidate will need to have a strong focus on excellence, plenty of enthusiasm, and a flexible approach. The right applicant must be self-motivated, a team player, and able to work well in a high-pressure environment. In addition, the successful candidate will have:
A passion for service delivery and hospitality
Previous management-level F&B experience in a fine dining environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a premium quality customer-facing capacity
Relevant Hotel management qualification (tertiary level) and wine qualifications, knowledge, and expertise
A commitment to high standards and quality
Ability to drive a team and foster teamwork
Administrative management experience and sound financial acumen
A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organization skills
A high degree of professionalism
