Korero mo te Turanga | About the Role The Resource Management Technical Lead provides technical expertise to new and challenging areas within Environment Canterbury's compliance, monitoring, and enforcement (CME) activities. This role will work across our Regulatory Implementation Group, leading and supporting staff and projects within CME. It reflects Environment Canterbury's ongoing commitment to CME programmes that deliver to organisational priorities. We're looking for specialist knowledge in the related disciplines of; erosion and sediment control, land disturbance, quarry management and industrial site management. These roles will work with Team Leaders and Senior Resource Monitoring Officers to make real gains across Canterbury supporting effective and forward-thinking CME functions. Reporting to the Team Leader - Compliance Delivery these roles will support delivery excellence across Canterbury. Mou ¦ About You Ideally, you'll have a minimum of eight years' experience in Resource Management Act Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement, or in a relevant industry field, or a combination of both RMA and industry experience totalling eight years. Significant experience working in resource management, and an in-depth knowledge of the Resource Management Act and how to implement and enforce resource management plans. Demonstrated experience and ability to work collaboratively in a manner that links people, their work and processes aligned to organisational goals. Proven ability to coach, monitor and develop others including providing constructive, developmental feedback. An ability to work effectively within a political and community-focused environment and an appreciation of the sensitivities relating to local government, democratic and public processes. Evidenced ability to be recognised by peers as a leader and innovator in their technical field. A strong customer and community focus in resolving enquiries and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
