This leadership role includes mentoring a talented team of planners, driving process improvements, and shaping planning policies that support sustainable growth in the Waitaki District.He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bringThe preferred candidate will have:Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in planning, resource management, or surveying, with eligibility for membership in the New Zealand Planning Institute.
A full NZ Driver's Licence is required.Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, manage high-performing planning processes, and implement strategic initiatives.Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of the Resource Management Act and demonstrated experience with resource consent applications, policy development, and compliance monitoring.Strategic Thinking: A track record of navigating complex planning challenges and aligning work with broader Council goals and community needs.Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and the wider community.Me pehea te tono | How to ApplyIf this position sounds like you, click apply now and submit a tailored Cover Letter and CV.
