This position is cost-recoverable (charging for time), and therefore you must be able to keep good timekeeping records. As a Resource Management Officer, you would be expected to gain an understanding of the legislation and contribute to compliance monitoring programs.The role will focus on:Investigate all significant non-compliance with resource consents or regional plan rulesPrepare a variety of reports for internal and external stakeholdersTriage and co-ordinate resource consent portfoliosMonitor and action inquiries from the central mailboxYou'll be an excellent communicator, who can convey challenging messages with empathy and determination and be confident in de-escalating situations when needed. You'll be well-organised and possess attention to detail, and have the ability to work independently and proactively towards achieving designated monthly targets, are resilient, adaptable, and embrace change.More about you:High level of customer serviceAbility to interpret legislationCapable of working in a team as well as individuallyQuick learner with a can-do attitudeAn understanding of the RMA & local government processes, and/or a relevant qualification in a related disciplineUnderstanding and commitment to honouring the Te Tiriti o WaitangiExperience with conflict resolutionOur values underpin everything we do.
