You'll work on a diverse range of projects, from urban planning to rural developments, and collaborate with a team of experts who are committed to excellence and sustainability.Te Wero - The ChallengeAs a Resource Consents Engineer at Far North District Council, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert engineering and technical support to both internal and external stakeholders. Your primary responsibilities will encompass providing guidance and services to the resource consents, building consents, and compliance teams within the Delivery and Operations group.We're looking for someone with:Professional Knowledge and SkillsTertiary qualification in engineering.3+ years' experience in civil, structural, environmental, or subdivision development engineering, with knowledge of the Resource Management Act.Proven development engineering experience, preferably in Local Government.Experience with engineering in natural hazard areas is a plus.Strong documentation, report writing, and workflow process skills.Excellent relationship management and customer facilitation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).Professional BehavioursProven project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects within set timeframes.Enthusiastic and committed to excellent customer service.Strong relationship development and management skills, able to establish strategic relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and cooperation internally and externally.At Far North District Council, we take pride in our diverse workforce and are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
