Te Wero - The Challenge
As a Resource Consents Engineer at Far North District Council, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert engineering and technical support to both internal and external stakeholders. Your primary responsibilities will encompass providing guidance and services to the resource consents, building consents, and compliance teams within the Delivery and Operations group.
Professional Knowledge and Skills:
Tertiary qualification in engineering.
3+ years of experience in civil, environmental, or subdivision development engineering, with knowledge of the Resource Management Act.
Proven development engineering experience, preferably within Local Government.
Experience with engineering requirements in Roading, Three Waters and natural hazard areas is advantageous.
Strong documentation, report writing, and workflow process skills.
Excellent relationship development and customer facilitation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access). Experience in pavement design and three waters modelling will be advantageous.
Valid driver's license.

The salary for this position is Grade 17 within Council's salary structure (Band: $89,758 to $105,598 pro rata per annum) dependent on qualifications and experience, plus Kiwi Saver.
