Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District Location: Kenepuru Hospital Base Service: National Youth Forensic Service - Nga Taiohi, (MHAIDS) Contract: Permanent, Full Time - (1.00 FTE) Salary: $114,025 - $127,674 Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative and committed Resource Co-Ordinator to join the National Youth Secure Forensic Inpatient team at Kenepuru Hospital.
We offer an MDT approach to specialised assessment and treatment for youth offenders with mental health problems within a bi-cultural model of care.
We work within a framework of clinical governance and are a progressive service committed to providing a culture of ongoing professional development for staff through regular supervision, an excellent professional development and recognition programme (PDRP), regular in-service training and support towards external education.
You will be required to provide clinical oversight of the care to our rangatahi (young people) in conjunction with the MDT and senior leadership team.
You will also be responsible the day to day running of the unit including payroll, HR matters and all areas of staff management.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team Nga Taiohi is the national secure youth forensic purpose built 10 beds unit which will provide the inpatient service for youth offenders with a mental health and/or alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues.
The secure youth forensic unit is co-located with the existing Youth Acute Inpatient Mental Health Inpatient Unit (Rangatahi) and the Youth Intellectual Disability (ID) Inpatient Unit (Hikitia Te Wairua) in the Centre of Excellence at Kenepuru Hospital.
Moū - About you Our ideal candidate must have: -Experience in working in a forensic mental health setting.
-The skill to assess, plan, implement, review and evaluate strategies to ensure quality provision of service delivery.
-Experience of working with youth, youth offenders with mental illness and Alcohol & Drug issues would be desirable.
-Is registered with a professional body is essential ie.
NZ Nursing Council, Occupational Therapy, Social work or Psychology Board.
