The resort is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for guests, and are looking for a dynamic and experienced hands-on Resort General Manager to lead the team.The Role:As the Resort General Manager, you will have a strong commitment to live on a small remote island, manage a luxury boutique hotel (8 villas) with passion and to provide an exceptional, personal guest experience where no detail is too small.You will be the key leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort's daily operations who understands aspects of Repairs & Maintenance, as well as Sales, Marketing, Revenue & Cost Planning, Food & Beverage, Development Projects and strategising the resorts future success.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of Cook Island hospitality professionals.Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest enjoys an exceptional experience, from check-in to check-out, by maintaining the highest standards of service.Operational Excellence: Oversee all operational aspects of the resort, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance and asset management.Financial Management: Develop and manage the resort's budget, monitor financial performance, yield generation and implement strategies to maximise profitability.Sales & Marketing: Develop effective strategies targeting new guests, use social media activity to drive occupancy, and enhance the resort's brand presence.Compliance: Ensure the resort complies with all local regulations, and minimisation on the environmental footprint.Community Engagement: Act as the resort's ambassador in the local community, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.Experience & Attributes Required:Minimum 3 years experience in a hotel or closely related industry.A minimum of 2 years working in a remote place or island resort.Previous experience as a GM in a luxury, eco-orientated small hotel.Strong understanding of all aspects of hotel/resort operations.Excellent financial acumen.Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a small team.A team leader with empathy and dignity.The commitment to providing exceptional customer service.Ability to adapt to changing environments and make effective decisions.Benefits:$120k NZD per annum (for 2)Annual KPI bonus.Complimentary on-site furnished accommodation provided.Return airfares.Expat medical insurance cover.Access to the resort's amenities.Working visa costs covered.Use of the resort's e-vehicle.
