Residential Support Worker - Taradale and Havelock North (Disability)PSEC is one of the largest providers of social and health services in New Zealand. Our East Coast team is made up of over 220 staff and 100 volunteers across our services, which include Enliven and Family Works, and two charity shops.Enliven Disability Services work alongside young people under 65 living with a disability. We are passionate about supporting disabled people on their journey to imagine, create, and live a full life. You will be part of a team working to make a difference in your local community.We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our disability support services team.You will join a team of dedicated people to support individuals in Taradale and/or Middle Road, Havelock North with physical disabilities residing in their homes. You should be passionate about Disability Support and preferably have experience in the sector and a certificate or diploma in Health and Well-being, or be willing to work towards this.You will provide recreational and social support to allow our flatters to participate in everyday life in their home and community. You will also provide personal care and be willing to participate in further training and education sessions to upskill.Hours are 6:45am to 3:00pm; 2:45pm to 11:00pm; and 11:00pm to 7:00am.Salary Between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour depending on Qualification.You will:Deliver support in line with each person's individualised care plan.Be able to use a hoist safely.Support with personal care and administration of medicine.Be able to travel for out of town meetings or activities.Complete household tasks including cleaning and cooking.Act as a key liaison between flatters and their whanau and other groups engaged in their life.Keep accurate records of the support provided.Support to maintain a safe, clean, and functional home environment.Knowledge and experience desirable but not essential; training will be given.Successful applicants must be patient, have a passion for supporting people with disabilities, a desire to see people reach their potential, and an ability to see each person as an individual, with unique needs and abilities.
