This is a public hospital in the southern Canterbury region, providing a range of inpatient, outpatient, and community secondary services. The hospital provides 24/7 acute medical, surgical, and maternity services, Assessment, Treatment & Rehabilitation (AT&R) services for older persons, and a number of tertiary services through visiting clinicians.
Location Information:
This hospital is located in the Southern Canterbury region, 160 km south of Christchurch and 200 km north of Dunedin. The CBD contains a precinct boasting excellent dining and interesting shopping. Surrounded by many inland lakes, there is the opportunity to partake in a range of water sports during the summer. In winter, there are also at least five South Island ski fields all less than a 2-hour drive.
