Due to the geography of the region, the hospital also provides services to a large rural region.This is a great opportunity for doctors keen to further broaden their clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to rotate through:General Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, General Medicine, Assessment Unit, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Relief.There is an active clinical training programme with didactic sessions, interactive based teaching, journal club and video conferencing.The LocationWhangarei is called the "Meeting place of the Pacific" because of its many international yachting visitors and the Northland region boasts some of the most scenic and exciting coastal areas of NZ in a subtropical climate.
