Here's what E80 Group can offer. We are looking for a Resident Automation Engineer to keep complex systems operational at the industrial plant of our strategic client in Auckland. The candidate will be hired as an external contractor; therefore, he/she must either have an NZBN (New Zealand Business Number) or be willing to obtain one. Responsibilities Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting activities on the equipment to ensure efficiency. Carry out preventive maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance plans. Report on system performance and performed activities (including anomalies and corrective actions) to the Customer and E80 Group. Build and maintain a strong relationship between the Customer and E80 Group based on trust, daily commitment, technical results, and equipment reliability. Act as the point of contact between various corporate entities for problem-solving , organization of on-site and remote operations, supply and delivery of spare parts, and offers, with assistance from the Direct Manager. Participate in periodic meetings with the Customer's representatives. Conduct periodic on-the-job training for the Customer's personnel. Promote improvement activities, modifications, and extensions to the system or equipment, co-supervised by the Direct Manager and in agreement with the Area Manager. Manage spare parts on-site, suggesting reorder points and purchases as needed. Organize, manage, and update any security documentation required by the Customer, co-supervised by the Direct Manager. Organize and manage the maintenance area, tools, and equipment available from E80 Group and/or the Customer. Technical Requirements Technical qualification in the electromechanical field or industrial automation. Good understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings. Previous experience as an electromechanical or transfer technician, electrician, or automation engineer, ideally in the manufacturing sector. Ability to perform electromechanical work at heights and in confined spaces (after completing specific training). Knowledge of Siemens PLC, Beckhoff, Fanuc, and Allen Bradley; Rockwell knowledge is not mandatory but will be considered a plus. UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician. A-grade Electrical license. Soft Skills Requirements Desire to make a difference and daily represent E80 Group in front of the Customer. Excellent communication skills, intuition, and strong autonomy. Proactivity and outstanding problem-solving skills. Strong critical thinking and curiosity about learning new technologies and managerial aspects. Stress resistance and ability to work under pressure. Other Requirements Advanced or native level of English (both spoken and written); knowledge of Italian is a plus. Valid driver's license (B). Permanent or temporary (minimum 2 years) rights to work in New Zealand, with no restrictions. Active NZBN (New Zealand Business Number) or willingness to obtain one.
